Banco Mare Nostrum (BMN) is the company, founded in 2010 as a result of integration of financial business of three savings banks: Caja Murcia (41%), Caja Granada (18%) and Sa Nostra (13%), and Caixa Penedès (28%).

BMN is particularly prevalent in the Mediterranean regions (Murcia, Andalusia and the Balearic Islands), and also in the Community of Madrid.

Thus, Banco Mare Nostrum operates under the name “Cajamurcia” in the Region of Murcia, Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha, “Caja Granada” in Andalusia and Melilla, and “Sa Nostra” in the Balearic Islands and the Islands Canaries. In the branch network of the Community of Madrid was decided to operate exclusively under the “BMN” without reference to any of the banks that led to the group. The brand “Caixa Penedès” corresponded to the regions of Catalonia and Aragon.
